Hello, Knucklehead!
Hope you had a good week. I had a busy one, but I still managed to get a comic done. I don't know how I did it, but I did it. And you get to read it a day before everyone else. Because you're a real one and I appreciate you. So let's goooooo…

NEW COMIC
The Face of a Real Man
I apologize for that third panel. Especially if you're viewing this on a desktop. I realize it's rather aggressive. It was inspired by the old Ren & Stimpy "Gross-Ups" — those moments when they'd cut to close-up paintings of gross stuff. Would you believe I actually toned this gross-up down a little? Anyway, wear sunscreen.

INSPIRATIONAL ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Ian McQue
Ian McQue is a concept artist and illustrator based in the UK (I think?). He's known primarily for his amazing floating ships and sci-fi landscapes. But I love the sketchbook images he posts to Instagram more. I've never been able to get into the sketchbook habit. But if I did, I'd probably attempt stuff like the above. Going into that much detail is such a relaxing, meditative process. I envy it.

OBSCURE BUZZFEED VIDEO I'M IN
We Wore Hoopskirts For A Day
Shout-out to Devin Lytle for reminding me about this video. LadyLike was a group of women at BuzzFeed who examined historic and modern-day tropes of femininity. In this video, Devin and Kristen wore traditional hoop skirts for a day to work. It's fun.
I appear in one segment (click here to jump right to it) where they wanted someone to dance with them a la Pride and Prejudice. Devin refers to me as "the grumpiest man alive." Which is on-brand, I suppose. Especially when I'm at work. I don't mind the title. And it did lead to one of my favorite YouTube comments of all time:

I do, Janean. I really do.

Well that's it for this time. As always, I love your feedback. So if you have any, please reply to this message or hit me up on Twitter or Instagram.
Have a rich and full-flavored week, Knucklehead. -K
