Hello, Knucklehead!
Hope you had a good week. The theme for this week's newsletter is gasoline and TV. Two great tastes that go great together. Plus, I've got a few more Bluesky invites at down at the bottom. Let's get to it.

NEW COMIC
The Best Streaming Service

Sometimes, I get really weird ideas and I have to make comics to get them out of my head. Currently, I'm obsessed by the idea of Gas Station TV (GSTV). What's it like to work there? Is it like a traditional network? Are there executives to whom I can pitch my ideas for shows? What if they decided to make premium streaming content? What if they had enough money to sign big name directors and movie stars? Besides Maria Menounos, of course.

Anyway. What movie to do think I watched?

FROM THE ARCHIVE
Kustody Kitchen

I think the first thing I'd pitch to Gas Station TV is Kustody Kitchen. But I guarantee you it's already being developed somewhere else. It's too good of an idea not to exist yet.

OBSCURE VIDEO I'M IN
AAMCO "We Hear You"
|
|
This was during my short stint as a commercial actor. I booked it by doing the same series of funny faces and noises you see in the final spot above. I remember the crew applauding after the director called "cut." One take, baby.
|
This is the full, 1-minute spot that aired during Sunday football. There's was a separate, 30-second cut of just me as well. They liked it so much, they brought me back for the following year's campaign too. But not to make any funny noises. More as an Easter Egg for those who remembered the original spot. Which was no one.

Well that's it for this time. If you missed any past editions, check out the archive. And as always, I love your feedback. So if you have any, please reply to this message or hit me up on Twitter or Instagram.

And here are your Bluesky invite codes. First come, first-served. Good luck!

Have a rich and full-flavored week, Knucklehead. -K
